After years of waiting, the rebuild is underway. A community space for everyone in Middleton-in-Teesdale, built to last.
Birthday parties and club nights, badminton and Beavers, shows on the stage and celebrations that brought the whole village out. Then it sat empty for over a decade, locked up by asbestos and structural problems that felt impossible to solve.
It took years of effort, more than a few setbacks, and a determination that many people weren't sure would ever pay off. But it's paying off. The foundations are going in right now.

Built for the Long Term
Middleton in Teesdale Village Hall has been rebuilt from the ground up, and that includes how it's powered. The roof will be covered in solar panels, giving the hall the ability to run independently of the grid. That means it can serve as a community refuge if the village ever loses power, as it has before.
